My Hijab,My Pride
On my head is a sign of modesty,

In it,I maintain my stance as a Muslimah,even in this age of nudity,

This,I have written not to present myself as a saint but to indicate what it is to be a woman of purity,

It is commanded on all to guard our chastity,

So,I shield myself in the Hijab to maintain my religious entity.

In the mind of the nonbelievers,I am oppressed,

They think the Hijab is a bondage,little do they know that in it is the freedom never to be harassed,

Unknown to 'em is the fact that when in my hijab,with courtesy I am addressed,

Oh,we Muslims!misconception against the Hijab have to be suppressed,

How do we go about that?the knob to showing good conduct while in hijab must be re-pressed.

  "Khadijat, what on earth is this?" Those were the words of a client who requested for a proposal letter, but to whom an untallied essay was delivered to- I wrote an unrelated essay! You should ask for what went wrong. I had received a phone call from Mr. Obi( pseudonym for the client) after the new year festivities, and after about fifteen(15) minutes of our virtual conversation of which all I could recollect uttering were, "yes", "well", "okay", the call ended. The beginning of the year was quite cloudy. I had a lot on my table, yet my mental health was slowly draining- almost running out to about 1%. Mr. Obi was referred to me by a friend. I am Sunmola Khadijat Olabisi,widely known as DYNAMIC HAJIA,the author of the weekly times. HOW I GOT MY PEN NAME Well,Dynamic Hajia is coined from two separate words;dynamic and hajia.Dynamic,an English word,means changing.
