LOST TREASURE
In the large expanse of land, NIGERIA
Rich in language; Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa of those in ZARIA
Though of diverse culture, love they spread out with no BARRIER
Amaka to Amina, 'your love plunges my heart, the passion-CARRIER'
Tick-tock, the fertile land went DRY
Politicians strike and away they cart with our SUNDRY
The blessing bestowed on our LAND
The sweat and work of our HAND
The land of milk and honey is SOUR
Our veggies...they DEFLOWER
To them belong the POWER
Oyinbo man converts our gold to TOWER
Our fuel...from them we PURCHASE
We own not even our MAIZE
Stand up to them and the music you FACE
These are but sorrowful DAYS
Oh sons and daughters of the SOIL!
The wait is OVER
It is time we stood against our DEPRIVATION
And roll out of our OPPRESSION
Thank you for reading.❤️
