GIFT OF THE HEART

On the 14th of February, my timeline was red; not bloody, but dripping with red emoticons and red boxes with cosy gifts. How sweet love is! 

As I jumped from WhatsApp to Instagram, I grinned with excitement, the sight of love is so heart-warming! How much warmth will the actual feeling of love give?


Dynamite, you will agree with me that everyone deserves to be loved, right? yeah, yeah, I received your positive response. What will be your reaction if everyday is declared Valentine's Day? Aww! sweet, but that might incur big-ticket expenses, right? Well, maybe not. What if I tell you we can share love without spending a dime?



   As much as people hold dearly in their hearts the flowers and gifts, so also do the smile, care, warm hugs, beautiful words, encouraging messages, acts of service, and support linger in their memories. So dear, you do not have to run into debt to show someone you truly care. Of course, there are times financial aid is all a person needs, but on other days, they just need someone to remind them of how beautiful the world is. We live in a world where materialism has blinded a lot of people that they care less about the content of the heart, but certainly, there are still some who believe in the gift of the heart; do not hold back from them the acts of kindness; let the voice of kindness fill your atmosphere. Make your kind words bring reassuring smile to someone's face, this can be so magical.


  


 Am I permitted to rephrase my question then? Well, I'd rather support that love be shown to people EVERYDAY, celebrating St. Valentine's Day might mean different things to different people. The hike in prices of commodities has affected the price of baby diapers, and remember the goal is to show love without incurring debt. Got that?

So, showing love everyday would mean performing an act of humanity everyday. Be reminded that the littlest act of kindness might germinate into the biggest feeling of acceptance in someone's heart.

Imagine waking up everyday with the aim of inspiring a person, how beautiful would that be? just imagine. Now, increase the number to two, let the statistics increase daily, just picture how beautiful even your own life would be if you take this task upon yourself.


   


Dear reader, maybe smiling at a person who seems to be a loner would change their life forever, maybe telling your stories would inspire someone to never throw the towel, maybe sharing your food with your neighbours would make them believe that love exists, maybe visiting your sick friend would make them heal faster, maybe sending an appreciative message to your parents and mentors would make them yearn to do more.


   Dynamite, no act of kindness can be overemphasized, not even assisting strangers find their ways.

  "Khadijat, what on earth is this?" Those were the words of a client who requested for a proposal letter, but to whom an untallied essay was delivered to- I wrote an unrelated essay! You should ask for what went wrong.
