BROBDINGNAGIAN BLOOPERS

 BROBDINGNAGIAN BLOOPER

The title sounds suicidal, right?LOL Well, it is simply an enormous/gargantuan mistake. As I held my pen to make jottings on the topic, several common mistakes we make as sapiens diffused into my cerebrum, some of  which would be highlighted in this article. Before proceeding to read the critical aspect of this article, I would like to call your attention to some things, dear reader; mistakes are inevitable and consequential part of our lives, hence, they are things that distinguish us as humans and if you're a victim of any of the mistakes to be mentioned, I'd congratulate you because this piece has specially been written for you.

Happy reading!

Read, diffuse, infuse and eject  the common mistakes below;

TRYING NOT TO MAKE MISTAKES; 'To win, you must lose, like wise, to achieve perfection, you must make mistakes', yes! you read that correctly.  In one of my previous articles where I stated that failure is a recipe for success, I got some people who  opposed this with the claim that some people succeed without having a taste of failure. Well, I would have agreed with them if they can point out to atleast one successful person who can boldly say that he or she has never encountered some set backs. If we don't don't make mistakes, how would we improve? If we improve, how would we value our success without having combatted failure? I spoke with a friend on how I started studying phonetics and he was dazed when I told him the journey zoomed off the day I made blunders during a debate competition in my primary school; the embarrassment and dejection I felt that day triggered me to pay more attention to English lexis and that was  how I propelled from retrogression to progression. If we are asked how we were able to memorize the English alphabets, we would first laugh at the silly mistakes we made before getting  perfect at it. Most times in our lives, we won't pay attention to things until we goof at them. EMBRACE MISTAKES, Dynamites.

HOLDING ON TO BAD HABITS; This reminds me of the domestic separation technique of yam flour; the edible past after passing through the sieve is cooked while the residue in the sieve is disposed; this is how we should dispose bad habit, why hold on to that demoralizing attitude of yours? The residue in the above context, if not separated, would render the meal unesculent, this is the same way bad habits 'adulterates' the positive ones. The saddest  part of this is that the longer you hold on to the poor habits, the more undetachable you get to it.  MAKE PROPER RESOLUTIONS NOW before you you get wholly sunk in them.

CONDESCENDING YOURSELF AND SERVING UNDER LIMITATION; 'I can't do beyond this ', well, you are free to use this word if you aren't capable to deliver further service to people but  NEVER should it be used for your self-development potential. Hello, dear reader, what you are and what you would be lie within you, if at all there is anyone whose believe in you would bring about greatness in your life, then, that person is YOU. It is quite unfortunate that some people have become slaves to their own selves, how would you see yourself as an atom and expect others see you as a compound? O wrong now, lol.  Some people, in the name of trying not to show off, end up condescending and devaluing themselves, this reminds me of this popular Yoruba maxim , 'bi onigba ba şe pe igba Δ™ ni won şe ma ba pe', this can be loosely translated as, 'as the seller calls his goods, so will it be called', hello dynamite, you know your value and how vigorously you worked to get it, NEVER SELL IT CHEAPLY!

   Limitation then sets in the moment you don't want to propel further, if complacency hugs your confidence, you would believe what you have at hand in enough unknowing that there are more packages to be unwrapped.

REGRETTING; 'Regret only if the hours spent yesterday are retrievable'- Dynamic Hajia , it is of no use crying over spilt milk. The deed has been done already and the only resolution that can be made is to open your arms to new opportunities. Every rise of the sun, boundless opportunities come knocking at our doors but we are too blind to sight them because we are already carried away by our unrectifiable losses. Hello dynamite, accept your loss, defy all odds and smile because betters days are ahead but only the hopeful would live to see them. Most victims of suicide are the category of people who grieve over their mishaps. I put this to you, beautiful reader, each time you fall, pick yourself up, console yourself and try again, trust me, you'd be happier this way; bothering yourself over lost treasures only cause you ruptures. REGRET NOTHING!

QUITTING; 'You aren't a failure when you fail, you become a failure only when you fail to try again ' Are you experiencing difficulties in your academics, social or emotional life? Well, this is communicating a message to you that you are yet to cross the final line. So, rather than throwing the towel and giving up, just keep striving! Sometimes, we are haunted by the thought of giving up but we need to make ourselves dauntless and stronger than those deadly thoughts. If you quit on the process, you are quitting on the result. Quitting is never an option on the road to success, find the way forward. If you have a positive mindset and are willing to persevere, there is little that is beyond your reach. The attitude of being ready to work even in the face of challenges will make all the difference in your life. BE DAUNTLESS!

PROCRASTINATING; Some times, there are no next moments, the only moment is now! Never put off for the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday - Napoleon Hill. Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies on the track of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him. Want to make changes? Do so now! One of our greatest mistakes is DELIBERATELY postponing events. MAKE RESOLUTIONS NOW!!!

A word, they say, is enough for the wise. Act upon them, don't procrastinate your actions!

Thanks for reading
