LET'S SAIL THROUGH THE OCEAN.

From the merry of the Yuletide celebration to the felicity of the New Year jubilation, lo and behold! here arrives a new dawn; a new dawn not to start all over but to build upon all that have been acquired in the previous year and eliminate/ discard those which would wreck us. One of the bloopers we've made over years is believing that a new year metamorphosizes to grant us the best, nay! life doesn't give us what we deserve but we demand and strive for. It's just a complete revolution of the earth around sun, buddy, hence, nothing's gonna change unless you catalyze it. I have not written this to dampen the hopes you have for the new 365 days journey but to help retract your heart from building a castle in the air and further motivate you as usual.

     While we were young, we urged our parents to get new set of stationery for us for it's the beginning of a new year! little did we know that  we were meant to constructively build on our 'A, B, C' lectures from the previous year and our new stationery won't award us merits. Well, we weren't daft, we were only naive (LOL!).

Learning how to prepare my favourite dish ( Jollof Rice), the first thing I was taught is the recipe, how about we make our first lecture of the year on the RECIPE to SUCCESSFULLY SAIL THROUGH THE 2021 OCEAN?; Get your pen and jotter ready as your lecturer paddles the canoe.

°Be more CREATIVE: A new day cometh with a charge to do something new, nevertheless, a new year demands some brand spanking new inventions too. Now, you have to set your cerebrum aright 24 hours daily, allow your head diffuse in some more brilliant ideas and put them into action immediately. Think more and talk less. Utilize the purpose of which your brain has been created, never allow a second slip out of your life without maximizing it. If in the previous year, you've learnt and understood that one added to one equates to give two, why not proceed to bigger figures and even try some fractions? We, sapiens, are the most blessed of all creatures because we are endowed with highly specialized sense organs but it is left for us to exploit it.

As an entrepreneur or a business owner, if you've been static and revolving round the same cycle of business pattern, don't you think it's about time you became dynamic? Channel your brain to more strategic ideas and execute your plans. Exit the circle of detractors and unleash the potential within you. This applies to individual from ALL walks of life, CREATE CRAFTY CHANNELS (C³).

°Be more FOCUSED: Setting goals can be a piece of cake but keeping track of/ being focused on the goals can be a Herculean task, as much as I do not support piling up plans till a new year, I'm not in the position if you've done that but rather, I would put this question to you, 'the great plan of yours which you've vowed to execute in 2021, it's the 7th day of January already, how far have you gone with it? Have you even kicked off with it? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ...boom! you'll wake up on a fateful morning and realize it's the last day of the year you tagged as 'yours' and actualize that you've achieved NOTHING due to your lack of focus. Do you know that time is more volatile than gas? If you do, why then do you play away the time you should prey on your tasky aspirations?

'No dey lose focus', this Nigerian pidgin slang which trended during the #ENDSARS saga means so much beyond the humour. I'm not against pleasure but never make fun at odd hours, so you won't be made fun of. Set the goals, adjust your spectacles (vision) and ride on!

° THINK BIG: 'You are made for more', I will always emphasize this statement. As a young elementary school student, I believed I can never know more than my teachers, back then, I was servile to my thought and believed my life; what I was and what I would be lie in the hands of my teacher. All thanks to growth, I have come to realize we begin to shrink when we think we can't be greater than who we are. Set standards for yourself, say to yourself, 'I can't stop here!'. It is not over until it is over. Believe you still have bigger pursuits and you won't stop until you've grown tall and have reached the sky. If your circle is the dormant one, waken yourself and flee! Good things don't come easily, you've gat to think beyond your brain box to achieve 'em. At this juncture, I'd re-recommend Dr Ben Carson's 'Think Big', you must, by all means get the Intelligence freedom!

°Make BOLD MOVES: Don't be stagnant, take bigger steps forward. Don't be scared to get up and walk from your crawling position. If you are courageous, then, there is very little that is beyond your reach. The future might seem obscure but do not be scared to make heroic approaches toward it. Falling is ineluctable, it is unavoidable, so, do not be scared to rise again! In the previous year, you might be scared to speak in public due to stage fright and as it is, public speaking is necessary in your career, why not reach out to smaller institutions, e.g., a primary school  and deliver a speech? From there, you can summon the courage to orate at bigger events. In physics, work is not done if you place an entire building on your head until you move with the load, then, work is done! You need to validate your effort by applying movement. MAKE THAT BOLD MOVE NOW!

° CUT OFF HINDRANCES: 'To hell with you, Delilah', Adekunle Gold's 'Delilah' just journeyed through my mind, this is to inform you to let go of the 'Delilah' in your life. If there is any hindrance or inhibitor trying to counter your growth, cut it off. A picturesque of this is being summoned for an impromptu race competition while on a high-heeled shoe, it would get to a point that you would have to pull the shoe off to outshine others, the high-heeled shoe can be tagged as a 'Delilah' trying to suppress you.

Hello Dynamite, getting constant discouragement can be so detrimental, so, close your door behind them and never allow their hate wallow in you and get you down, rather, shine on, baby.

° PRAY: Shall we return all to the Most High? Believe He who has created you has set your journey aright, hence, when the world throws you down, get up and PRAY and while the world raises you high, bow down and again , PRAY so you won't STRAY.
